The notorious ski slop "Streif" in Kitzbühel was within reach for the participants of the fourth KENDA Enduro One tour stop. More than 500 riders made an entry for the E1 event in Kirchberg - the neighbouring town of Kitzbühel and were expected from five perfectly prepared Enduro Stages and ideal biker weather. With more than 1,400 meters of altitude difference (400 m uphill by lift) it was the most challenging task of the current season. Jan Javornik and Julia Ossovsky are the winners.

Organizational manager Kurt Exenberger from the Bikeacademy in Kirchberg and track manager Rainer Schoner from the Wildschönau conjured together a top staged event in an alpine dream scenery. For E1 promoter BABOONS and the entire Enduro One community, Kirchberg was on the racing calendar for the first time this year.

With the location Kirchberg, the E1 has found an absolutely worthy substitute organizer for the actually planned Wildschönau (also Tyrol) and the annual "Austria-Stop" of Germany's biggest MTB Enduro racing series was once again a complete success. Not only the perfect biker weather, on both days almost cloudless sky with temperatures around 27 degrees, but also the event location itself were not uninvolved. "The flair was almost reminiscent of the Hahnenkamm race in winter", said BABOONS boss Ulrich Hanus. Located directly at the Fleckalmbahn valley station, a sea of flags showed participants and spectators "the E1 is in town".

The E1 Wild Childs already found excellent track conditions on Saturday morning and were able to show their parents and carers what the E1 Kids are all about. E1 Partner Sportident even had a timing solution ready for a spontaneous U8 class, exclusive to the locals.

After the training of the main classes we continued with the special days of the e-bikers. Once again Marc Oppermann was boss in the ring and distanced Leon Huber with over six seconds on second place - actually a clear announcement for the race Sunday.

The main classes then set the first signs in the prologue. With Betti Lysko and Janik Voth two experienced E1 cracks were at the top of the podium.

On race Sunday itself the bikers were sent on the 25 km long track after the routine check-in. Five stages and over 1,400 alpine metres of altitude difference, representing the whole range of MTB Enduro sport, had to be completed. Especially stage four with more than four minutes stage time put a big grin on the faces of the E1 athletes. After the final Stage Five with a direct finish at the Eventlocatian at the Fleckalm, the MTB Racer Monster was served Monster Hydro Drinks for free and those who wanted could also dive into the nearby Schwarzsee.

After Aschau winner Jasper Jauch was not at the start in Kirchberg, the track was clear for guest starter Jan Javornik, who took the second place in the E1 Pro Andreas Köstler about 20 seconds in total time. Third in this class was Sven Böhm.

In the E1 Woman Julia Ossovsky dominated with three won stages and a total of eight seconds ahead of Natascha Binder and prologue winner Betti Lysko.
